Four of vessels. I interpret this as a gentle nudge to be open to newness coming out of the blue. The figure is so focused on the physicality of the three cups of deliciousness that they might miss a fourth, literally being handed to them, that they couldn’t even imagine. I had a lot of fun making this one :)

I’ve had a few folks ask about the ability to make an equivalent one-time pledge to fund the deck. Currently Patreon doesn’t offer this option for me.

One of the reasons I chose to drive funding through Patreon rather than Kickstarter is because I’m really into the patronage model. It worked in the renaissance, it still works now. As a patron, you are part of the project and you’ll get to see not just the end result but also the process that brings something like this tarot deck into the world.

A second question I’ve received is “won’t I be able to buy it after it’s printed?” and I don’t have an answer to this. What you’re doing by pledging is essentially reserving a deck. I’m asking interested folks to do this early because I need to know how many decks to order. Since this is all custom production based on what are essentially pre-orders, I won’t be ordering in huge bulk—just enough for what I need. Maybe there will be some left over, and maybe there will be a second printing, but honestly it all depends on how many people support the first printing :)

So, that’s the why and how for anyone interested. Before the membership drive is over I’ll go live or something so I can give you an idea of what we’re working toward by showing you product samples!

Will you pledge? Make sure to reserve your deck (plus all the other things I’m confident we’ll reach in the stretch goals)!
