Something I’m really interested in but don’t have time to research rn is the Jehovah’s Witness reaction to covid quarantine precautions when it trickles down to churches and gatherings of any specific numbers.
Exhibits:
1. Persecution fear is part of the theology
2. Specifically persecution from the world governments
3. They believe that at some point just before armageddon the UN will turn on Babylon the Great (the world empire of false religion, ie, all religions except Jehovah’s witnesses) and will ban all religions. They will have to take their worship underground in small groups
4. This has always been in the propaganda text but for at least 4 years, they’ve been really heavily pushing this in propaganda videos which are amping up the fear as in this propaganda video
5. If any recommendation or order comes from a secular authority to not meet, they are going to meet harder and in each other’s homes.
Anyway, since Italy is already in quarantine maybe there are some messages circulating about this being the start of the great tribulation, but when it hits the US where the governing body is, things could get interesting.
Like if they believe this is part of the tribulation and that they individually will be protected (believe me, they think exactly this), but then some among them contract and pass away, what happens. Like The Leftovers. Bad people and good people get raptured or whatever.
