The MRI nurse practitioner just came in. Basically whatever the heart event was blasted a bunch of little clots up into her brain. Which is why it doesn’t look like the effects of a regular stroke. I wish I had asked for a more technical term than what they saida showerbut it seems to be this.

A heart issue makes *much* more sense bc she has a family history of heart problems. Cardiologisst and neurologist will talk and make recommendations for next steps. No idea about recovery for those parts of the brain.

I have to call mom’s massage client scheduled for tomorrow and cancel it. And call the guy who rents her other room and talk to him. Dad wants me to call the landlord today and tell him that’s it, that’s the end of the business. And while he’s correct that’s it, that’s the end of mom’s business I just cannot do it today.

I’m going to make some hot tea and sit on the patio and make some calls.

We have a list of possible rehab facilities but we don’t know yet which one has a bed. One is literally across the street from my apartment which idk on the one hand I feel would be great but on the other hand no. Another is in downtown St. Pete. One in Clearwater, one in Indian Rocks Beach, one in south Largo, one at Tampa General, and one near USF. Realistically it’s looking like she won’t be discharged to rehab until Friday.
